Introduction to Courses

The Academy of Aromatherapy and Massage (Scotland)    was founded in October 1992 and it is our intention to provide an high standard of training in the complementary therapies of - CLINICAL AROMATHERAPY and CLASSICAL REFLEXOLOGY  All of our courses are Practitioner standard and our graduates have extensive underpinning knowledge in addition to proficiency in a wide range of practical skills. POST GRADUATE TRAINING SEMINARS are also offered by The Academy.

TUTORS
All tutors hold qualifications in adult training/education, and all have extensive and relevant experience in their respective disciplines. All tutors are committed to providing guidance and learning support to students.
Angus Williamson, L.V.M.C., is the Principal of The Academy and is a practising massage therapist with over twenty years experience. He specialises in therapeutic and remedial massage and founded his own Therapy Clinic in Falkirk in 1989. Angus is also a qualified clinical aromatherapist and reflexologist, and a Full Member of :
A.O.R., S.I.R., B.F.M.P., I.P.T.I., S.M.T.O., and                                                       The Institute of Personnel Development (I.P.D.).
All ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY TUTORS have relevant qualifications in this subject in addition to educational qualifications.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COURSES
Physical - A reasonable level of physical fitness is necessary as massage can be physically demanding. Hands, arms, and back must
be sound.
Academic - Formal academic qualifications are not required.
Personal - These training Courses require an high level of motivation
and commitment.
